Hi - my name is Shirley, and most likely I will be your main contact and lead photographer on shoots. I really take the time to understand your pain points and ensure I have clearly understood your goals or visions from the outset, way before any cameras are picked up! We all try to remain flexible and adaptable too - as even the most well thought of plan can be disrupted.

Meet the original co-founders of H&M Productions. Philip & Shirley started the business as H&M Photography while living in Africa for 4 years. Now back in Australia, Shirley is the primary photographer and owner of H&M Productions. Both are passionate about our natural world and always help our communities. Hi, I'm Shirley Hitschmann and as the lead photographer, videographer and drone pilot, I'm passionate about creating lasting and positive changes for my clients and the community.
I began my photography journey when I discovered the love of capturing my family and friends, then an almost obsessive passion for working alongside conservationists to protect our wildlife and nature, and grassroots communities.
During the span of my ICT career based in Sydney, I would spend most of my free time and holidays volunteering in Australian, Africa and Asia. Africa became a 2nd home where I met my husband Philip and together we created H&M Productions. What started as a hobby became my profession when in 2015 we moved to Zimbabwe to live for 4 yrs.
I really feel rewarded by empowering businesses and the local communities with on-point photography and video marketing, sales and visual training toolkits, and seeing what a return on that investment can be.
Now as a mum or a 8 yr old, living in the beautiful small seaside town of Agnes Water, I spend more time working and volunteering locally when I can.

- Drone Pilot & Backup Crewman
Hi, my name is Philip and you might see me on shoots helping out when needed. I fell in love with photography and video while in Africa, and especially drones. Now I am a licensed RePL Drone Pilot & Assistant Film Crew.
Currently I work as an auxiliary /part-time firefighter with Queensland Fire Service (QFS) and have my own business, but still have a keen interest in photography, especially if it means I can get wildlife or underwater footage!
Living in Agnes Water & 1770 has opened up the underwater world and you might catch me filming critters in our estuary or ocean, or with my spearfishing crew.

Video / Event Coverage
H&M Productions filmed Discovery Coast Dance Centre's end of year dance concert! They were very easy and polite to deal with. I was able to let them know what I wanted and leave them to do their job. The end result was INCREDIBLE! The video they produced was high quality, well edited and the text they overlaid was in line with our brand. They asked if I needed anything changed, but it was perfect first time. All our dance families commented that the video was very professional!
